Events Occurring in the Magnetic Flowmeter Market Prior to 2010

The following are some important events that have occurred in the magnetic flowmeter market prior to 2010.
  • In October 2009, GEA Diessel announced the release of a new generation of its IZMAG™ magnetic flowmeter. Made with a stainless steel design, the IZMAG™ is intended to provide a favorable cost/benefit ratio.
  • In September 2009, KROHNE released the BATCHFLUX 5500, a new magnetic flowmeter for filling machines. The BATCHFLUX 5500 was announced at the Drinktec 2009 trade show. It is designed for the measurement and dosing of liquids such as juice, beer, and milk.
In November 2008, Yokogawa announced the release of its new ADMAG AXR 2-wire magnetic flowmeter. This meter uses dual frequency DC excitation.

In August 2008, KOBOLD introduced its new MIK magnetic flowmeters. The MIK is available in PVC, PVDF, Polypropylene, and stainless steel. It is designed as an economical alternative to more high-priced meters.

In May 2008, Elster announced that it would soon be introducing a new magnetic flowmeter, the evoQ4 Mag Meter. The evoQ4 was unveiled at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Annual Conference in June 2008. The AWWA Conference, called ACE08, was held in Atlanta, Georgia. The evoQ4 is designed for the commercial water market.
